Rose Mulberry Paper Valentine Card

Semi-transparent Mulberry or Saa paper from Thailand lends beauty to this card. The transparent paper makes a lovely wrapping paper as well.

Materials Needed

1. Red Cardstock/ Square Card Blank
2. Semi-transparent silk/mulberry paper in rose or any other design in red color
3. Red craft paper in two diff. shades of red
4. Black handmade heavy paper
5. 5. White or cream cardstock
6. Green craft paper
7. Daisy, Flower and Leaf Punches
8. 2 red sequins
9. 'Happy Valentine's Day' stamp

Instructions for Making the Card

1. Cut the saa paper the size of the card front and glue it over the front of the red card.

2. Glue a square of black card stock as shown.

3. Glue a smaller square of white card stock and glue it inside the black square.

4. Make flowers by gluing together two daisy punch-outs and a small flower punch-out in the center and then a red sequin.

5. Punch out leaves and glue the flowers and leaves as shown.

6. Stamp 'Happy Valentine's Day' using red stamping ink.

Note: Saa paper comes in a variety of designs. If you do not find a rose design, use any design in red and you will still get a lovely effect.
